German Colonial Guide- Sourced from A414A- TAD Patch 1.00
Germans are my best, and will always be. They fought a lot of wars, and they never hold back or retreat, unlike those cowardly Dutch and French (LOL, don't take this personally GS and Incog).
Now here is my strategy, and it is my style, like it or not:
Cards Most Important
- 2 Settler Wagons (Age 1)
- 2 Settler Wagons (Age 2)
- 3 Settler Wagons (Age 2)
- 9 Xbows
- 5 Uhlans
- Palatine Settlements
- 700 Food/Wood/Coin (Optional)
- 8 Skirmishers (Age 3)
- 5 Dopplesoldners (Age 3)
- 1 Fort Wagon (Age 3)
- MERCS!: 10 Landschenckts, 9 Black Riders, 13 Jaegars
- Factory Cards
- "Settler Wagon Boom 'o Doom"
- Germantown Farmers
- 1000 Food/Coin (Optional)
- Infantry Train Faster (Optional)
- 9 Uhlans (Age 3) (GoodSpeed says it's good)
Discovery
- 1 Settler Wagon goes to herd (shoot towards TC!).
- Rest collect crates.
- 1 Settler Wagon goes hunting, other makes houses (and houses only).
- All villagers go to hunt.
- Send Explorer to find opponent(s)/TP's/resources and gather treasures.
- First card should be 2 Settler Wagons.
- Before aging, have atleast 5 Wagons and 7 villagers.
- Age with 400 wood politician.
Transition
- Send all Wagons to wood, and make a market.
- Research the first 3 upgrades (food,wood,coin).
- Leftover wood should be houses.
Colonial
- Ask yourself, wanna go Xbows/Pikes or Uhlans?
Xbows/Pikes
- Put one Wagon to collect the wood from politician.
- Send another Wagon to build 2 houses and a barracks.
- Que villagers to food (10 on food), then to wood, switch, but soon put some on coin.
- Second card should be 9 Xbows. Que as many Xbows as you can.
- Attack with 20+ Xbows, keep constant Xbow production.
- Que Pikes when in need of anti-cavalry or siege.
- Third card is either 5 Uhlans or Palatine.
- Put some villagers on coin to start aging if you are overpowering your opponent, if not, keep constant villager and Xbow production.
- Fortress is all yours. Age with 6 Skirmishers. First card in Fortress should be 8 Skirmishers or 1 Fort.
Uhlans
- Put one Wagon to collect the wood from politician.
- Send another Wagon to build 2 houses and a stable.
- Put the rest of the Wagons on coin, and every Wagon should go to coin.
- Que some villagers on coin, then food, have some on wood if you want.
- Second card should be 5 Uhlans. Que as many Uhlans as you can.
- Attack with 10+ Uhlans.
- Put Wagons on wood if you need a barracks up for infantry.
- Third card is either 700 coin or Palatine.
- Fortress is all yours. Age with 6 Skirmishers. First card in Fortress should be 8 Skirmishers or 1 Fort.
Make a TP if you can!
