Ottoman Bluffs

The two main attack strats for Ottos are rush and FF, we all know that. Now, any decent player will either be expecting a rush of some kind or a FF, or even just a semi FF. What the Otto Bluff takes adavntage of is the feared Jannisary/Abus gun combo.

For this strat you'll want the standard starting BO for an Otto rush.
When you age up, send in 5 Jans from the home city and build an additonal 5 from your barracks. Do not place the barracks in a forward position, as you will actually not be going aggresive. You're just going to pretend you're going aggresive. Send the 10 Jans to the enemy, try to harrass his hunters or wood choppers, but make sure he doesn't realise you only have 10 Jans. The goal is to keep him on his toes with a tiny army, playing on the fact that he thinks you'll have more coming.

As you harrass him, reorganise your economy into an FF one. Ship in 700 coin as soon as you can and age up.
From that point on, you're in the Fortress age and he's got a big colonial army that he made thinking he was going to get rushed. Ship in whatever you deem necessary (probs Spahi if he massed ranged infantry) and attack him.

This isn't really a strat, but it's a tip, and it's won me a few games with Ottos. It's all about playing with the enemies mind.

sent 3 hussars and built 10 janissaries seems better to me if you're going to go defensive semi'ing. Have Janis try and pick off the HI\cav and have hussars flank and destroy (hopefully) the LI. Then raid with hussars and ship in 700 gold to get yourself to fortress.

Imo, sending 3 Hussars as a decoy isnt really worth it, it could slow your age time considerably and therefore weaken this bluff overall. Most likely, the opponent will have FFed before you, or will have setup defensive measures by then.
